Donor & Gift Acceptance Policy
EIN 82-29403081. Purpose
This Policy governs the types of gifts One Animal World Foundation (“OAWF” or the “Foundation”) will accept, the terms under which they are accepted, and how donor relationships — including anonymous and cryptocurrency donors — are handled. It is intended to protect OAWF's mission, ensure gifts are used as intended, and maintain donor trust.2. Geographic Scope of Operations
OAWF operates and accepts donations to support programs everywhere in the world, with the exception of jurisdictions subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions administered by OFAC (currently Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine). OAWF applies heightened scrutiny, consistent with its AML/CTF Policy, to any donor, grantee, or activity connected to jurisdictions subject to partial or targeted OFAC restrictions.3. Types of Gifts Accepted
OAWF accepts the following forms of gifts, subject to review by the Administrator:
• Cash, check, and electronic/wire transfers.
• Cryptocurrency and other digital assets, processed through vetted third-party donation platforms.
• In-kind gifts of goods or services directly usable in OAWF's programs.
• Gifts of real or personal property, including through the Forever Home Program.
• Planned and legacy gifts, including those made through the Pets & Promises Program.
OAWF reserves the right to decline any gift that is inconsistent with its mission, creates undue liability, cannot be reasonably valued or liquidated, or fails AML/CTF screening under OAWF's AML/CTF Policy.4. Cryptocurrency Gifts
For gifts of cryptocurrency and other digital assets, OAWF follows these practices:
• Crypto donations are accepted only through established, compliant third-party donation platforms (e.g., The Giving Block) that provide donor screening and conversion services.
• Unless otherwise directed by the Board, cryptocurrency gifts are converted to U.S. dollars promptly upon receipt to minimize exposure to market volatility.
• OAWF does not independently custody donated cryptocurrency; assets are held by the donation platform only until conversion and disbursement.
• The fair market value of a cryptocurrency gift, for acknowledgment and recordkeeping purposes, is determined as of the date and time the gift is received.5. Anonymous and Pseudonymous Donors
OAWF may accept gifts from donors who wish to remain anonymous to the public, provided the donor's identity and gift are still subject to the screening requirements of OAWF's AML/CTF Policy. OAWF will not accept a gift where the true identity of the donor cannot be reasonably established by OAWF or its donation platform partner, regardless of the donor's public anonymity preference.6. Gift Restrictions and Designations
Donors may designate a gift for a specific OAWF program (e.g., the Forever Home Program, grantmaking, or Pets & Promises). OAWF will honor donor designations to the extent they are consistent with OAWF's mission, its status as a 501(c)(3) organization, and its Grantmaking Policy. OAWF reserves the right to decline a restricted gift it cannot administer as directed, or to discuss an alternative designation with the donor.7. Refunds and Irrevocability
Charitable gifts to OAWF are generally irrevocable once received. Due to the nature of blockchain transactions, cryptocurrency gifts in particular cannot be reversed or refunded once confirmed on the network. Requests for refunds will be evaluated by the Administrator on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.8. Gift Acknowledgment
OAWF will provide donors with a written acknowledgment of their gift in accordance with IRS requirements for charitable contributions, including the date received and, where applicable, the fair market value at the time of receipt.9. Responsible Party
OAWF's Administrator is responsible for reviewing gifts against this Policy, coordinating with donation platform partners, and escalating unusual gifts to the Board as appropriate.10. Policy Review
This Policy will be reviewed at least annually by the Administrator and Board, and updated as needed to reflect changes in OAWF's programs or applicable law.Adopted by One Animal World Foundation.

Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) Policy EIN 82-29403081. Purpose
One Animal World Foundation (“OAWF” or the “Foundation”) is committed to ensuring that all donations, including cryptocurrency and digital-asset contributions, are received and processed in compliance with applicable U.S. anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) laws, including regulations administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This Policy establishes the procedures OAWF follows to screen donors and transactions, identify red flags, and respond to suspicious activity.2. Scope
This Policy applies to all monetary and in-kind gifts received by OAWF, including but not limited to cash, checks, wire transfers, cryptocurrency and other digital assets, securities, and real or personal property contributed through programs such as the Forever Home Program. It applies to all individuals acting on behalf of OAWF who are involved in accepting, processing, or acknowledging gifts.3. Sanctions and Prohibited Jurisdictions
OAWF does not knowingly solicit, accept, process, or disburse funds to or from any individual, entity, or government located in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions administered by OFAC. As of this Policy’s effective date, this includes:
• Cuba
• Iran
• North Korea
• Syria
• Russia
• The Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine
OAWF's programs and donor base are otherwise global in reach. For jurisdictions subject to partial or targeted OFAC restrictions rather than comprehensive sanctions (which may include, depending on current designations, countries such as Afghanistan, Belarus, Myanmar, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Nicaragua, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Venezuela, and Yemen), OAWF applies heightened, enhanced due diligence to any donor, grantee, partner, or transaction connected to those jurisdictions before proceeding, as described in Section
5. OAWF's Administrator is responsible for monitoring the current OFAC sanctions list (available at sanctionssearch.ofac.treas.gov) on an ongoing basis, as designated jurisdictions and parties are subject to change.4. Donor and Transaction Screening
For every gift accepted by OAWF, the Administrator or designated reviewer will:
• Screen the donor's name and, where available, organization or wallet-associated identifying information against OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List and the Consolidated Sanctions List.
• Confirm the donor is not located in, or a resident or citizen of, a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction listed in Section 3.
• Note the country of origin associated with the gift, where reasonably identifiable, for internal recordkeeping.5. Enhanced Due Diligence Thresholds
OAWF applies additional scrutiny in the following circumstances:
• Any single gift, or series of related gifts, exceeding $10,000 in value.
• Any gift connected to a jurisdiction subject to partial or targeted OFAC restrictions (see Section 3).
• Any donor who requests unusual anonymity, structuring, or routing of funds inconsistent with normal giving patterns.
• Any gift where the source of funds cannot be reasonably identified or verified.
In these cases, the Administrator will conduct additional review before accepting or disbursing the gift, which may include requesting further information from the donor or the platform facilitating the transaction (e.g., The Giving Block), and may result in declining the gift.6. Suspicious Activity
If a gift or prospective donor raises concerns consistent with money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or sanctions evasion, OAWF will:
• Decline or pause processing of the gift pending further review.
• Document the concern, the review undertaken, and the resulting decision.
• Where warranted, report the activity to the appropriate federal authority (e.g., FinCEN) and/or the intermediary platform through which the gift was routed.7. Recordkeeping
OAWF retains records of gift screening, due diligence review, and any escalation for a minimum of five (5) years, consistent with general nonprofit recordkeeping practice.8. Responsible Party
OAWF's Administrator holds primary responsibility for implementation of this Policy, including sanctions-list monitoring, donor screening, and escalation of any suspicious activity to the Board as appropriate.9. Policy Review
This Policy will be reviewed at least annually by the Administrator and Board, and updated as needed to reflect changes in applicable law, OFAC designations, or OAWF's operations.Adopted by One Animal World Foundation.
